Naturism and Travel in France
France and Naturism
The French have a distinctly open minded attitude towards naturism and thus perhaps is not a surprise to many who have spent time in a city such as Paris. With quiet a liberal attitude, many French people love the idea of enjoying nature the way it was intended and relaxing by a beach, camp site or resort without the need for clothing.
Popular French Naturist Resorts
There are literally 100 or more very good naturist resort or camp grounds set across France, ranging from camp sites in the Loire Valley, through to family resorts such as La Jenny, in the Le Porge area of France. This resort is a very popular family destination and
set close to some delightful vineyards and with a wonderful beach area, the popularity of the resort is clear to see.
Another popular resort although less family orientated and more popular with couples and groups is the worlds largest naturism resort, Cap d'Agde. This resort has a lovely 1 mil plus long beach and has various accommodation types including a couple of hotels, large camp site, apartments and villas. This is a major resort and attracts thousands through Beziers airport to this part of the Languedoc region of France.
What do you need?
Apart from the obvious such as spending money and transportation to your resort, some of the resorts do require that you are a member of the French Naturism organisation. SAt many resorts though, if you are not already a member, you can normally pay for and organise the membership when arriving at the resort.
The attraction of Naturism in France
If you head to an area such as the South coast of France, you will generally find that the weather is particularly good in June, July, August and first half of September. These are the normal summer months for good weather of course, but in South of France it tends to be more reliable than the summer months for example, in the UK or other parts of Northern Europe.
The French culture also makes travel to France of particular interest to many people. The interesting French foods, although not to the liking of everyone, are very popular with other travelers.
